8. the harrow
On display is an example of a “harrow,” a traditional agricultural tool used for preparing the soil and tending crops.
The harrow, pulled by pack animals (oxen or mules), was a fundamental element in working the fields, used to level the soil, break up clods and prepare the seedbed.
The exhibit tells the story and importance of this tool in the daily lives of farmers in the last century, offering an authentic insight into agricultural tradition and the toil of field workers.
